TELEPHONE CALLS The telephone can be an important communication link between you and
your provider. After office hours and on weekends, calls are
answered via an answering service that pages the doctor or midwife on call as soon
as your message is left. Please use this service only for
emergency reasons.
When you call
the office during office hours, your call will be answered by one of our
front office staff. It is important that you state whether your call
is about an appointment, billing, or a medical problem so you can be
transferred to the appropriate person.
If you have a medically related question, one of our nurses is always
available to assist you. After the receptionist transfers your
call please leave your message on our voice mail system and a nurse will
call you back as soon as possible. If you are concerned that you
may have an emergency, please let the receptionist know so that a nurse
can speak with you right away.
